                      Safe and Effective Solar Cleaning with Lower Costs

                      Saint-Gobain Surface Conditioning offers precision products for the safe and effective cleaning of solar/photovoltaic panels. Our eco-friendly, biodegradable aqueous glass cleaners contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are designed for use with all water types, providing significant cost savings over deionized water.

                      AmberClean™ Solar GS-1C

                      All-Purpose Water Treatment for Solar Cleaning

                      Saint-Gobain AmberClean™ Solar GS-1C is a biodegradable, aqueous water treatment designed for cleaning silicon and thin film solar panels. Its unique chemistry allows the use of hard water (municipal tap water or well water) to clean as effectively as deionized water but with significant cost savings.

                      AmberClean Solar GS-1C contains high-performance dispersants that break up dust, dirt, carbon and other debris from glass surfaces. Unlike conventional detergents, AmberClean Solar GS-1C won’t leave behind soapy residues that require rinsing, saving on water usage. It does leave a thin, biodegradable film on solar glass to reduce glare and increase the output of the panels.

                      AmberClean Solar GS-1C is endorsed by SolarWorld and automated solar panel cleaning company Bitimec/Messersi.


                      PV Solar Clean 01 

                      Industrial Aqueous Solar Glass Cleaner 

                      Saint-Gobain PV Solar Clean 01 is designed for commercial and utility-scale solar farms as well as solar panel manufacturing. It features high-performance dispersants specifically designed to remove dust, dirt, carbon and other debris from glass surfaces. The surfactant technology cuts through and removes oily and organic residues such as petroleum pollutants and bird droppings without harming the glass surface.  

                      PV Solar Clean 01 offers surface tension reduction and lubrication abilities that protect the glass from damage during contact scrubbing, such as when using sponges or water-fed poles.  A 1% solution of PV Solar Clean 01 effectively lowers surface tension to <25 dynes/cm. Its unique chemistry offers effective cleaning with all water types — deionized water, soft water, well water or municipal tap water.  


                      AmberClean™ Solar Boost 8

                      Residential Aqueous Solar Glass Cleaner

                      Designed for household solar panels, Saint-Gobain AmberClean™ Solar Boost 8 is a biodegradable, aqueous glass cleaner with high-performance dispersants that remove dust, dirt, carbon and other debris from glass surfaces. It features unique surfactant technology to cut through and remove oily and organic residues without harming the glass surface or leaving behind unnecessary amounts of foam.

                      The surface tension reduction and lubrication abilities of AmberClean Solar Boost 8 protect the glass surface from damage during contact scrubbing, such as when using sponges, brushes or water-fed poles.

                      AmberClean Solar Boost 8 can be used with all water types for effective cleaning: deionized water, soft water, well water or municipal tap water. Solar Boost 8 is safe to use around children and pets and won’t harm the environment.
