AmberLap™ S600 is a water dispersible, abrasive suspension agent designed for use in the free abrasive lapping of silicon wafers and other ceramic substrates. When used with an AmberCut™ slurry vehicle, it imparts excellent abrasive suspension for extended periods of time. Slurries that utilize AmberLap™ S600 exhibit low viscosities and superior shear stability which allows slurry reuse without the loss of abrasive suspension. Such slurries have shown the ability to dramatically reduce process cycle time, while lowering scratch defect rates and improving yields. AmberLap™ S600 is completely water dispersible and rinsible, and will not leave films or residues.
AmberLube™ 85R9 is a ready to use, waterless diamond lapping lubricant. It is specifically formulated for the fixed abrasive lapping of computer disk read/ write heads. The AmberLube™ 85R9 formula provides the unique ability to control pole tip, alumina and RTS (reader to shield) recession or protrusion. It also prevents ESD by quickly and effectively dissipating static charge build-up. AmberLube™ 85R9 imparts excellent surface finishes, improved removal rates and enhanced plate life. It does not contain water and is safe for use on PMR and advanced head designs. AmberLube™ 85R9 is easily cleaned with conventional polar solvents or water based cleaners.
AmberLube CK Series products are a lapping lubricants specifically formulated as a post lapping or final lap lubricant for computer disk read-write heads. AmberLube CK Series lubricants contain special additives to improve surface finished and minimize the smearing of pole tip elements. They also utilize unique chemistry to facilitate the dissipation of static charge (ESD). AmberLube CK Series lubricants are designed to provide maximum removal rate while imparting excellent surface finishes. AmberLube CK Series lubricants are capable of reducing pole-tip and aluminum oxide recession while eliminating corrosion of exotic alloys. They are recommended in the tube bending, swaging, stretch forming and skin forming of ferrous and nonferrous metals such as aluminum, titanium and stainless steel. They also contain special anti-corrosive agents to protect form tools, dies, mandrels and bending tools from harmful oxidation. AmberLube EC’s anti-wear lubricants reduce scratching, galling and metal to metal contact.
